Finding ways to teach and support a school publication takes time and energy, but there’s no need to do it alone! Join us on Oct. 19 at Harrisonburg High School as as we celebrate and inspire student journalists from across the state at Virginia’s Media Championships.

Presented by the Virginia High School League and the Virginia Association of Journalism Teachers and Advisers, the Media Championships will offer sessions on photography, design, reporting, writing, business management, editorial leadership and much more.

Plus, returning this year are the “Write-Offs,” which give students the opportunity to compete against each other in a range of journalism categories. In addition to showcasing their skills and talents, students will be able to receive immediate feedback on their work and earn recognition on the spot.

VHSL will also announce Trophy Class and Multimedia Contest winners at the event.
