Finding ways to teach and support a school publication takes time and energy, but there’s no need to do it alone — even amid the continuing pandemic!

“Zoom in” on Oct. 16 as we celebrate and inspire student journalists from across the state at Virginia’s first-ever virtual Media Championships.

Presented by the Virginia High School League and the Virginia Association of Journalism Teachers and Advisers, the Media Championships will offer featured presentations from professional journalists and writers; interactive roundtables; and workshop sessions on a range of topics including photography, design, reporting, writing, social media, promotion, editorial leadership and more.

VHSL will also announce Trophy/First Class and Multimedia Contest winners at the event.

All of this is available for just $50 per school.

Plus, if you register by Oct. 1, you can request a live virtual critique with a student media expert for one or more publication staffs. (Note: Critique appointments are limited and will be assigned on a first come, first served basis.)
