Harrisonburg for teens

In downtown Harrisonburg, many activities seem to be aimed at adults, college students or young children. However, there’s an age group in the middle that struggles with finding something to do. Eight teens from the James Madison University 2019 jCamp went downtown with the goal of finding something fun for teens to do.

They interviewed locals, took pictures at each location and got stories to share.

Here are eight spots you can visit for something fun to do:

Video game shop an oasis for gamers
Ruby’s Arcade offers pizza, games
Bluetique a local shop with clothes for girls
Pulp, Shenandoah Bicycle Company offer ‘welcoming atmosphere’
Rocktown Bicycles offers mountain bikes, road bikes
Benny’s offers a hangout area for teens, big slices for all
Shenandoah Joe offers coffee, lots of seating
Agora Market: Eight in one
