On Tuesday, Sept. 8, the National Scholastic Press Association announced its Newspaper Pacemaker finalists for 2015. Among the many outstanding websites from across the world, VA’s very own “The Highlander,” the student newsmagazine of McLean High School was named as a finalist.

They will receive their finalist plaque and find out if the also win a Pacemaker at the JEA/NSPA Fall Journalism Convention in Orlando, FL, at the awards assembly on Sat., Nov. 14.
